Gwen's Not so Little L.A.M.B

Over the years, Gwen Stefani has made herself known as a leader in the fashion world. Her choice of fashion is glamorous with a little bit of rock-and-roll thrown in. Gwen is never one to follow trends, but is still always fashion forward in a distinct style that is definitely hers. I’ve always envied her clothing, even more so when she became a mom and still managed to look put together.

Who else would be so perfect to design her own line of clothing? In 2003, Gwen presented her clothing line and it took off as quickly as her solo career. Gwen herself is not the only one wearing her clothing line; other celebs such as Nicky Hilton and Cameron Diaz are wearing her line making it a sure hit around the U.S.

L.A.M.B. clothing can be found in many places from Kitson, to Nordstrom, and even Zappos.com for her shoe collection. However, for this shopping expedition, I decided to go to the source itself, www.l-a-m-b.com.

I’ve glanced through Gwen’s line in stores and clicked through them online, but I’ve never studied them in depth. As I began to sift through the different categories of apparel, I was pleased by the variety of designs that this line had to offer. I had expected all rock-n-roll and edge, but L.A.M.B. has also incorporated more classic looks into this season’s fashions. There is a solid, mock turtleneck sweater made of cashmere ($215) that would please even the more conservative type, or even an adorable ballerina cardigan that is reminiscent of Betsey Johnson sweaters, which would look great for the holidays.

On the other hand, there is a myriad of plaid, in skirts, dresses, and pants that is very Gwen Stefani, and also very in this season. Plaid is back and all the rage for the winter season, so this would be a great addition to your wardrobe. A plaid buckle skirt retails for $365. Other choices of apparel range from outerwear, accessories, Gwen’s famous “track” look, to even shoes.

There are a lot of things to choose from so have fun looking!

Overall, I think the L.A.M.B. line is terrific, especially if you like a little edge to your personal style.
If you like modest, conservative looks, this is not the choice for you, but for a little rocker in your life, Gwen Stefani’s not so little L.A.M.B. is the way to go.
