The Big Picture For Online Shopping
Do you shop online? Chances are that you do if you are perusing our site. It is not surprising, because online shopping continues to grow at a phenomenal pace.
How much of the total 65 billion dollars spent on online shopping did you do last year? If you are anything like me, it was a substantial chunk, and I sincerely hope that my husband doesn't figure out how much money I spent online last year!
See, I live in a small town in the wild, wild west, and the choices and selection here are sparse, to put it nicely. So, several years ago I discovered online shopping. Like most newbie online shoppers, I stuck to the sites I was familiar with.
But as I have gotten more familiar with navigating the online shopping world, I have branched out and tried other sites that I have never heard of before. It turns out that I am a cliché!
This is the exact behavior of online shoppers, they stick to what they know until they get comfortable and then they branch out into the open waters of online shopping!
I also use the magic of search engines to find sites that sell things I am interested in. Honestly, without search engines I have no idea how anyone would ever find anything online!
So they are a mini-miracle, even if you do sometimes get weird results that are completely unrelated to what you are searching for in the first place.
Why do people shop online? Even though you might have various reasons, it all boils down to the same thing: finding a great deal on what you want. This is why eBay is so popular.
People are crazy about finding a steal on something they want. Also, if a site offers reasonable shipping prices and protection of my personal information, I am there. For people like me, online shopping is an easy answer to the eternal question of where to find the things I want when I live in a backwater small town.
