No Reason to Frown
The holiday season is almost at a close as I write this. The fantastic before-and-after shopping deals are coming to an end as the old year is finished. However, there is no reason to be crying in your leftover egg nog as you pack away your holiday decorations, send the kids back to school (yay!) and get on with the business of starting up a new year.
Along with the bright possibilities of a new year, it also brings in the great end of winter sales. All of the stores, both online and offline are busy getting rid of the last bit of winter merchandise to make room for the new spring lines. This, of course, seems a bit ridiculous to me since here in the Wild West, winter will continue to last until at least April. However, once the spring thaw finally sets in, those cute spring clothes and accessories are going to start looking pretty good. But what to do until you can actually wear sandals without stepping into slushy left-over snow piles?
As my mother always says, "Anytime is a good time to go shopping!" She is right, and I come by my shopping gene naturally. I am pretty sure that my daughter got that female shopping gene as well, because she is seven going on seventeen and owns more pairs of shoes that I do. But that is a whole different shoe blog of another color.
To make the time until you can begin wowing your friends, family members and co-workers with your fantabulous taste in spring clothing, you can continue to shop those end of the winter sales. Overstock.com has great deals on both wardrobe staples and those clothes that you wanted to buy but were a bit daunted about the price. Even great sites like Amazon.com are giving deals on all their toys, books, movies, clothing, shoes(!), and all of the other categories they sell. If you time it right, now is the time to clean up on things that you wanted but didn’t buy yet for some reason or another.
Of course, what makes it even better is that all of the sites that are getting rid of their remaining winter stock are also willing to make great deals available. After all, if they don't sell in now, chances are it will just sit around taking up space in some warehouse somewhere! Great deals on shipping, extravagant price cuts and other ways to save can be found at nearly every site, or you can get steals using online coupon codes. So stave off those feelings of post-Christmas depression by doing a little shopping therapy. You'll be glad you did!
