Shoe Shopping at Its Best: Piperlime
I'm totally obsessing over Piperlime's "Shoes in the News" section. . . they list celeb shoe styles and link straight to them on the site! I may be a bit of a closet celeb magazine reader, and this feature really cuts down on my research time when I find a pair of "Must Buy" shoes on US Weekly or Hello.
For example, I went on the site yesterday to shop for shoes. Many of my friends have been snowed in and the snow is still falling, but that won't stop me from looking cute. I headed over to Piperlime and they had a main page feature on bright shoes, and to top it off, they were also featuring cool blue flats that are also a celeb top pick. You can check out those cool shoes below-- imagine them with your favorite skinnies or yoga pants!
But despite my attempts to rush through Piperlime and get back to work, it just wasn't happening, and I'll tell you why:
#1. They've got an incredible selection of styles. Within the "bright shoes" section, I found sandals, sneaks, flats, and more, in rainbow hues.
#2. The press section couldn't be more interesting. You can click each of their "Shoes in the News" section to be led to all sorts of style gems-- and fast! This is great for the shopper who's into stylish, popular shoes that are totally "now." (Like this bestselling pair!)
#3. They feature Rachel Zoe's Tips and Top Shoes. Her picks are very useful and reach a wide variety of tastes, so if you're looking for something "Stylist Approved," I'd head over to her main page.
#4. You can choose shoes that are grouped by section, and not just "Sandals" or "Boots," either. I particularly like the "Weekend Shoe" area, which groups cool trainers and flats together for those of us who are addicted to both comfort and style. (Sign me up!)
My Top Pick: I love the Naturalizer Gersen in Classic Navy Canvas, which has an interesting nautical vibe.
#5. "Hot Trends" is a quick way to peruse trendy shoes quickly and with ease. Current trends include brights, metallics, exotics, architectural, and color blocking. Check out my top picks for each below, and then have a great time shopping!
Brights: The Na Na Pryor has great shape that looks just right for skipping from your house to your car with your heels in hand.
Metallics: Hot Lips "Hottie" is oh-so-vintage. Love that oversized button.
Exotics: Rafe New York Dakotas are smart and shapely.
Architectural: This heel from Corso Cosmo was also a Rachel Zoe pick. The shaped lucite heel is fantastic and just begs to be paired with a sleek wrap dress.
Color Blocking: Wild Dotty Flats are just what you need to add a little zing to your wardrobe.
