Trendy Colors for 2008-- and The Right Looks to Show Them Off
It can be easy to shy away from hot colors, but I think that it's time to change-- especially now that I've found a bunch of good deals. While one of the hottest shades has been declared "Blue Iris," you can also choose from hot, tropically-inspired colors that burst in a lot of fun and exciting ways.
Push yourself to experiment with new colors!
"Blue Iris"
Blue Iris has been called "the" color of the season: it's deep and saturated, sort of an inky-blue purple that's very gorgeous and romantic. It could bring out your eyes, be the perfect seaside accessory, and jazz up all your boring gear in black, white, and khaki. Finally!

Fun Oranges
Oranges can really boost your personal palette, and instead of trying to rock sunny yellow or bright pink, you can certainly aim for this low-shock color that captivates. It's rich but not too rich-- definitely cool for those who want to experiment with bright colors, but want to play it a little bit safe.

Lime Green
Lime green is a great way to add accents to things like darker clothing, shoes, and accessories, as well as crazy florals and graphic prints.
Hot Magenta
Don't think of magenta as pink-- it's really in a league of its own. It's a lively color that's great for vacations and just plain old hanging out. It's also positively matchable with almost all of your ensembles-- think a slim magenta sash styled after Sex and the City or a full skirt complete with a crinoline.

Some of my very favorite pieces here are in the bright magenta and darker blues, since I've always loved citruses and wear them on a regular basis! If you're looking to incorporate these pieces into your wardrobe, try these tips to mix it up:
- Shoes: Find footwear that incorporate little accents of your new color of choice. Think bows, ties, and ropes.
- Handbags: Handbags are a great way to mix in color when you go for lightweight totes in canvas or lush suede purses with grosgrain ribbon. Layering Tanks: Use your summer tank top selection as a way of incorporating new colors. Try them under tees, under cardis. . you name it.
- Underwear: Anything goes here! Why not hunt out some trendy shades?
