My Fave Shops du Jour

Are you looking for some dependable shops where you can find good deals and make a great bargain-y purchase or two? Here's what I recommend, and where I have been shopping non-stop!

Old Navy

Why I Like It:

• Clearance is currently an extra 50% off for four days only-- amazing deals can be had from just $1.99! I'm planning on stocking up on tanks for the warmer weather (since I live in Florida, that's pretty much year-round) and a few long-sleeved shirts.
• The sizing is a little bit on the vanity side, which means that you can size down and feel skinnier. I usually buy an XL-sized top, but with Old Navy, a size L will do just fine! Same with the trousers, which are great for work.
• You can stack coupon codes. I can't write about the amazing potential coupon stacking enough! You can find great coupon codes on sites like Coupon Winner here, and then you can figure out the best way to save by combining deals. I'm partial to "% off" deals and free shipping. What about you?

Overstock.com

Why I Like It:

• I think one of the best features at Overstock.com is their customer review section. A lot of us are really wary about making purchases on items that are so heavily marked down-- it can make us suspicious-- but their review section is quite popular and comprehensive.
• They have great jewelry deals. Are you looking for a specific karat gold chain or a pair of pearl earring studs? Go to Overstock right away! I have always found the best deals over there for jewelry, although I do recommend reading the reviews ahead of time.
• It's easy to navigate. The white background is clean, the selections are easy-to-make, and their search function works properly. It's a little bit old school, but it helps me find exactly what I need.

Sahalie

Why I Like It:

• I'm a comfort addict, and this site offers some of the bet earth-friendly selections out there. Page through relaxed trousers with comfy fit bands (my "computer pants," if you will), figure-friendly tanks and tees, and some amazing swishy skirts.
• Earth-friendly is the way to go. While some people think that green clothes' mission is getting blurred by popularity, I say-- whatever works!

Silhouettes

Why I Like It:

• Plus-size styles are amazing when they've got style, but these ones are my favorite because of their price points to quality comparisons. They have a lot of offer for how much you pay, including lots of suede shoes in creative designs, cute dresses, and casual tees. Oh, and amazing purses!
• They came out with a denim line last year (Fall 2008) that offers a design that supposedly sucks in your stomach just a tad to make you look thinner. I also lover their wide legged trouser jeans.
• Silhouettes is known for their shoes, and their flats are amazing! They are long-lasting, long-wearing, and fit nicely, too.

Target

Why I Like It:

• Their jeans are awesome! I wear them almost exclusively: they stay dark, they stay stretchy, and the design is awesome. I even wear them out!
• Target has great money-saving deals and clearance sales, and since they sell more than just clothes, you can also do some errands and bundle it in the same purchase!
