7 Plus-Sized Wardrobe Tips for Spring

Looking for warm-weather tips to keep you looking your best? You've come to the right place, and we're here to steer you in the right direction for plus picks sized 14+. If you need some unofficial styling help for your wardrobe, read on!

1. Look or gauzy (to make up for tight). A lot of us don't want to wear body-skimming items, but lightweight fabrics can make up forblousier designs. Hunt down styles in cotton voile, silk, satin, and chiffon, and then you can wear something more comfortable.

2. Shop smart for your size. If you've gone up a size or two over the winter, don't fight it! Stay true to your sizing needs and get something that flatters your body-- cut out the tags after buying if you need to, but find something that won't be too tight after a couple of washes.

3. Patterns are not the enemy. Big florals, wild geometrics-- they can all work if you pay attention to color. From black-and-white to greyscale to color trends on the understated side, you'll look great if you try items out piece by piece. Don't shun a specific style just because you don't think it will work.

4. Shoes are more forgiving. Are you a larger size that can be hard to source? Put time into shopping for footwear that fits you-- it's much easier to find! One website I like is Barefoot Tess, which is a new discovery of my that offers up to size 14.

5. Don't forget to sift through last season! Your closet can be a treasure trove, so try your best to make it updated by actually slipping in pieces from seasons past. Colored trench coats, pretty little wraps and skirts, blousy separates, and wide-legged pants all deserve a place in your wardrobe.

6. Confidence is key. Smile, smile, smile! It's easy to look gorgeous when you are feeling confident, so do your best to find pieces that make you look and feel good. Whether you are closet shopping, "borrowing" from your friends, or scanning the clearance racks, it's important to learn what what makes you happy.

7. Discounted pieces are equally as attractive. You can find amazing pieces just by taking a quick look at a site like Overstock.com, Old Navy, or GAP, and you'll be looking hot for less in no time!
