8 Things I Like About the New Adidas Sustainable Collection
We're all deal hunters, but it is important to keep our green sensibilities happy as well! Check out all the things I am liking about the new Rainbeau Mars Signature Line, which hopefully I will be picking up for a reduced price in the near future!
1. Manufactured from Tencel, which is soft, supple, and made from eucalyptus wood harvested in certified forests that are carefully managed.
2. All prints are water-based.
3. Trims-- like bra straps-- are constructed from receycled materials.
4. Their Yatra sandals, which complement the yogawear range, are made from natural canvas, recycled fabrics, and recycled rubber.
5. Rainbeau Mars' partnership is really interesting, because she is an LA-based life coach and yoga master who develops intelligent, stylish yoga solutions.
6. The Signature Line-- which has already been released-- is part of Adidas' Better Balance Program. To be a part of the program, "materials must come from a sustainable source, be produced without dangerous chemicals, and be manufactured under the highest workplace standards with waste and energy management systems in place." Sounds good to me!
7. Adidas has also released statements saying that they are constantly reviewing environmentally sensitive items and where they are produced.
8. Um, did I mention that the line is really gorgeous, too?
My only question is: where can I buy this in person? I need to find an Adidas shop, and fast.
