What Is a Hot Place to Shop for Plus-Size?

Plus-size fashion for fall-winter 2009-10 is pretty exciting, especially if you wear a size larger than a 22. It's so challenging to find looks that work well when you're forced to hunt around the internet, but now is the time to look for what's hot! I've had some incredible luck at the following plus-size retailers.

Silhouettes: Silhouettes is your go-to place for basics and shoes, and I've noticed one particular thing about them. A lot of their options can be worn in multiple scenarios, and not the one advertised. I've bought cover-ups to be worn at home over leggings and as nightgowns, and I've also found that their casual tees work really well when they are belted under a vest, like a tunic. One of my fave pieces is shown below.

Missphit: Have you seen Missphit's awesome plaid pieces? They're bringing fall to life with buffalo checks in bold colors, and their sizing is nicely generous as well. I was impressed with the number of styles available, and I think you'll find something that suits your taste.

Catherine's: Catherine's might be tailored for the slightly older woman, but I like what they have to offer from time to time. It doesn't hurt to shop everywhere, because you'll never know what you'll find: case in point is their hat and accessories collection, as well as the odd foundation garment, dress, and separate.

If you are plus-size, it's very smart to shop online. Even if you have to return the odd piece here and there, you will probably end up with a more well-rounded wardrobe than if you stick to the stores. Actually, make that definitely! Unless you live in a plus-size mecca that I don't know about, you'll have fun shopping for plus pieces this season.
