Piperlime Spring Looks

I've been looking for new spring styles to flatter your hottest looks concocted for warm weather. I love the varied shapes available to all of us, from flats to pumps, not to mention some of the coolest colors I've seen in a while. Luxuriate in yellow suede, play twinkle-toes in beaded sandals, and enjoy the very best laced pumps this side of spring. Piperlime is an amazing resource for all of these, and more.

(Kenneth Cole Reaction Rich N Hitched, $79.00)
These beautiful yellow shoes feature a high, thick strap and chunky heel shapes that defy all of your stiletto collection. Balance on these confidently with a gorgeous, wide peasant skirt and a fitted top when you go all-out, or try a simple pair of black capris for a basic crowd-pleaser.

(Indigo by Clarks Pallino, $65.00) Flats are a must for any city dweller or hardcore commuter, but why are so many pairs so... not flattering? It's important to buy a pair that is trendy and that is a pleasing shape, just because they are noticed, even on the bus! This gray pair with a metallic twist blend in with pavement and grime, but are available in a pleasingly soft color to match with all of your spring florals.

Jeweled sandals can be more than a cocktail-party must have. You can slip on a pair of these delicate sandals with any dress or skirt and take it to the next level right away. Now that's an investment. The adjustable back strap keeps them on tight. Forget those shoddy elastic-strapped shoes and find a pair that really fit.

(Vince Camuto Veronica, $132.00)
These are my favorite shoes so far! In fact, I just got a similar pair from Evans London today in brown and black. While these may seem very fashion-forward and therefore a little challenging, you can let them speak for themselves when you pair them with pencil skirts, classic dresses, and pegged capris. Enjoy all the complements you get while wearing them.

(Naturalizer Roberts, $65.00)
Another yellow pair of shoes for you. Can you tell my favorite spring color? This pair has moccasin details and a softer lemon color for the more delicate ones among us. Excellent craftsmanship and detailing will make these shoes stand out significantly near similar styles, and you'll relish the attention they bring you.

Spring Trends at Steve Madden

Steve Madden has been quite the exciting experience for me in this upcoming season. . . shoes galore are exciting enough, but when every pair you check out corresponds perfectly with spring trends, that's another story altoghether. Behold! Gorgeous sandals and pumps with plenty of style to spare-- thrillingly designed to work for every woman. Plus, many pairs look much more high-end than the actual price dictates. Yes-- bargains, too! Let's head on over to Steve Madden and find pairs that correspond with

Mini 2008 Trend Report

What has been called "dual anything" has found its way onto the runway and now into our closets. Gone are the times when we had plain soles and uppers-- now we are looking at striped heels, decorated toes, and lots of contrasting colors on the sandal straps themselves. White in all its forms was an interesting contrasting trend, seen on the feet of models at Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Caroline Herrera, and Calvin Klein. With lots of cool detailing like metallics and fringe, you'll be a happy girl indeed.

Jeweled Sandals
Jeweled sandals are gorgeously and glamorously flattering for Spring 2008. These multi-strapped sandals race across your feet and across your toe cleavage for a look thats lean and creative. Steve Madden's sandals have a very close similarity to some of the best brands available this spring for less.

Detailed High-Heeled Sandals
Yes, these do look very challenging as a sandal, but I think that we can do it if we put our mind to it! These sandals are available in a rich brown leather that will bounce along as you strut. I'd wear my fringed sandals with a mini if I were going out, but if I were rocking these during the day, I would certainly go for something refined to show them off-- possibly pegged cigarette pants?

Patent Flats
Patent flats are a tame solution to this season's trends. While some of us are going to be wearing our sandals around with aplomb, there are plenty of us who can't wear sandals at work because of open-toe rules. So when some of the trends don't agree, remember that patent leather flats in plenty of different colors look and feel completely on-trend without being too much.

Gladiators
As long as you stay away from gladiator sandals that wrap around your ankles and then around your jeans (a la Sienna Miller), you too can try this style. Gladiators that head all the way up to your knees probably aren't the best first step-- these ones delicately encircle your ankles and are perfect for those of us who want to show off our legs!

I am a fan of the floor length tie-dye gowns, they give an easy-breezy sort of feel and are easy to throw on and walk out the door. Pair your tie-dyed garments with flat gladiator sandals and a hobo style bag for a complete look.

Pink Pumps
Bright, shocking pink was just another option this spring. If you need a pair of sandals that go great with dark jeans, I'd recommend checking out this style from Steve Madden. Gold and hot pink is so Vegas, and that's something we all need from time to time-- fun, fun, fun.

Still looking for shoes that work for you? Trust me, what I have found is just the tip of the iceberg. I had so many runners-up on my list that you should head over there when you can and have a good, long look at what they offer-- it's incredible how many pieces will work with your personal wardrobe.
