Personalize Your Plan

Workout67

Instead of gazing at the 42-year-old Jennifer Aniston and wondering how much Smart Water you’ll have to consume before you’re blessed with her physique, take charge of your body and get in shape the old fashion way—diet and exercise! Here are a few tips to get you one step closer to your personal weight-loss goals.

Morning Meal: If you’re thinking about skipping breakfast in order to feel sinless during tonight’s dessert, think again. Eating breakfast is a proven method to jump-start your metabolism and keep you full and energized longer. Eat fat-free yogurt with sugar-free granola with a little fresh fruit on the side.

Do What You Like: Switching up your workout plan will most definitely delay muscle memory and in your body’s confusion, will build muscle quicker. Choose activities that you love, like swimming, biking, and hiking, to reduce the chances of boredom, and rotate your activities frequently.

Get Into Gear: Now that you’ve determined what you need to eat and what workout plan is most appropriate, it’s time for the fun part—choosing what to wear! Nike affords you the opportunity to customize running shoes, specialized products for certain sports, and a number of other accessories that are essential to your fitness regimen. Drop by the Nike store online to either customize your gear or purchase something from their extensive collection. And if you order before July 26 you'll get free shipping on any order over $75.

Spring Workout Pieces

Have you tried the Habitforge application yet? If you are dedicating yourself to a spring workout and getting your bikini body taken care of, this program lets you establish a goal and check off each day you are successful. With a new workout routine, your spring workout gear can be developed for the season without any guilt -- you're going to need some essentials!

Burn-Out Tees: Long-sleeved burnt out shirts look great when layered over tank tops, and they are excellent for fighting the chill. If you hate how heavy full length zip jackets feel, this is a nice change. I have an excellent burnt-out shirt in white and tan, and another in purple and black. They're addictive once you start wearing them!

Climalite Pants: If I could pick up one type of workout fabric to wear when exercising, I would pick Climalite. Not only is it extremely soft, but it lasts a long time and doesn't pill. I have had some workout pants made from Climalite for five years, and they haven't aged at all: no color loss, no pilling, and no thinning. That's a serious budget buy.

Long Supportive Tanks
: Get a few layerable tank tops that have a shelf bra, which lends a little extra support when you are on the go. Toss one on over a sports bra for extra bounce protection and a nice sweat-wicking layer under a t-shirt. I like dark-colored layered tanks, because they don't show sweat as easily.

Brand New Bras: Speaking of sports bras, every season is "new sports bra" season! Get ones with designer straps that criss-cross at the back, and find ones that incorporate underwire and double-layer fabrics into the design. I've had a lot of luck with Lilyette options.

New Socks
: Stretchy, low-cut socks with a cushion might not be a big deal, but it's so easy to misplace them when you're doing your laundry! Get new ones in grey to cut down on staining and marking (white ones look dingy too easily), and try to keep them paired with they are in the dirty laundry as well.

Bonus Piece
: A new workout watch. Get one that times everything, but it small enough that it doesn't get in your way.
